3 to 2 Blackjack Payout Chart

What is a 3:2 blackjack payout? A 3:2 payout means a winning blackjack hand pays one and a half times your original bet. For example, if you bet $20 and get a blackjack, you are paid $30. The chart below shows the exact payout for bets from $1 to $15,000 so dealers and players can quickly see what each winning blackjack is worth.

What “3 to 2” Means in Blackjack

The term “3 to 2” can be confusing. What this ratio is telling us is that the player will get paid 3 chips for every 2 chips they bet, or 3 to 2.

Chips are the tools that players use to place bets in the blackjack game. They run through the entire blackjack game rules system.

Custom Chips

Players may design Custom Poker Chips with personal elements or special commemorative significance for the blackjack game, allowing players to have a more involved and unique experience in the blackjack game. When players win chips according to the payout rules in the article, the unique custom chips in their hands can increase the fun and commemorative significance of the game, making the players more impressed with the game process.

Another way to think about it is, 3 to 2 is exactly the same as 1 ½. And it’s a lot easier to figure out half of the bet and then add that number to the original bet.

For example, if you have a $12 wager, half of $12 is $6. Add $6 to $12 and your answer is $18.

12 x 1.5 = 18

When a player gets a blackjack, they’re immediately paid even money plus that 3 to 2 bonus. This describes the odds the player is paid when getting a blackjack.

As the dealer, when it comes to paying a blackjack, the 3:2 payoff is easier than it looks: you pay the entire bet plus half. The 3 to 2 blackjack payout chart below can be printed and used on the blackjack table or in a dealer school setting as a quick reference.

Even Money and Insurance

If a player has a blackjack and they insist on taking insurance, explain to them that taking “Even Money” is the same thing.

Even Money can only occur if the player has a blackjack, and the dealer has an ace up card. Only after the dealer asks for insurance is the player allowed to request Even Money.

Taking Even Money is the same thing as taking Insurance on a blackjack hand:

  • With Insurance, you must forfeit half of your bet to protect yourself in case the dealer has a blackjack.
  • With Even Money, you forfeit half of your potential winnings so you can get paid right away, which results in getting paid 1 to 1 or even money, instead of 3 to 2.

Even Money is not normally offered on blackjack tables with 6 to 5. If you would like to know what the payout is for 6 to 5 blackjack, we have that information for you here.
